Eastbourne Karate Jutsu Kai - Our History
Shihan Cliff Bolt 6th Dan opened the Eastbourne Dojo in the Hampden Park area in November 1995
The Eastbourne venue has moved several times for various reasons around the Hampden Park area until 2010 when the club relocated to its new Eastbourne home at The Cavendish Sports Centre. Still under the guidance and tuition of Shihan Cliff Bolt Eastbourne Karate Jutsu Kai continues to go from strength to strength.
Shihan Cliff trained hard to become a proficient martial artist. Partaking in multiple national and international tournaments including the: London and British Open Knockdown and of course many of Karate Jutsu Kai’s own competitions.
Today, Shihan Cliff continues to strive for the perfection and development of this art form. On his quest, the students of the Eastbourne & Hailsham Dojo benefits from his ability, passion and commitment in teaching and practicing the true principles of karate and his continued life study of Karate Jutsu Kai under the leadership of Kaicho Bernard Creton.
Today it is the students of the club that compete in all of the association’s tournaments in addition to the WIBK Championships. Their success is a glowing testament to the dedication and teaching abilities of Shihan Cliff.
The Club is also fortunate in that Shihan Cliff has studied various forms of weaponry and the students are instructed in the use of the Bo, Tonfa, Nunchaku, and Sai.
